Debenhams Discount Code

I am not a fan of shopping! Shopping is my idea of utter hell. It normally involves traipsing around every single shop like a lost puppy, waiting and panting near the entrance, whilst the missus nonchalantly browses everything, and with 20 minutes will be telling me to stop behaving like a kid, and enjoy it as I'm not getting out of it!

In view of the above, my favourite shopping experience is...online shopping! I can sit in my pyjamas, a nice cup of tea, some chocolate hob nobs and take my time browsing. No hustle or bustle, not feeling cold and damp and no kids wanting me to chase them around and underneath the mannequins!

So for this reason, I thought I would share a Debenhams discount code I found online. It's working at the moment, but I don't know for how long. There is no minimum spend which is even better. With Christmas looming ever closer and money in your pocket that is screaming to be used up as fast as possible...the discount code might just get you that little bit more!

Promotion Code (20% off): NN79 - Started from 5 Nov 2012
Free Delivery Code: SHD1

You can use both together, just put a comma in between the codes, and you get both.

Enjoy...

Sunday Shenanigans

Sunday..it's supposed to be a day of rest. I wish someone would tell the kids (and the missus)!

Today began with being woken up by Sara who had decided at 6.26am that she wanted to watch "Mo". In case you're wondering what this is, it's Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, courtesy of SKY. They don't even broadcast it at this unholy hour, but we do have 16 episodes all recorded on the box!

The wife has a habit of sleeping deeply, very deeply in the morning, especially if the kids are involved. I really can't get my head around it. If they wake up crying she will be up in a flash, but if the kids want to go downstairs with the early bird...she seems to not hear, notice or does a sterling job of ignoring everything!

Off we went..we sat down to watch Mickey and Minnie looking for Bella the Cat who had sneaked off out of the garden. I had a lovely, nourishing breakfast that consisted of a cup of Tetley and 2 chocolate hob nobs! Yum Yum!!

This was followed by a go at doing the laundry. Now the missus has spent some time, about 6 years (give or take)...to get me to a) start doing the laundry, and b) to not mess it up. It is only recently that I have taken her teachings on board. The fact that she screamed at me and stood behind me with a wooden spoon and looked ever so menacing, did not have anything to do with my taking the initiative this morning.

I split the laundry into about 4 piles, whites, colour, thin colour and some I wasn't sure of. The last pile went back into the basket! I didn't realise that a laundry could take over two hours! I looked at all the different settings, and went for the one which I thought was best..Quickwash. It sounded appealing..a quick was to get rid of this quick time!! Yeah!! I can relate to that.

Apart from a small mishap..it all went well. I ended up including scarf that the missus is quite fond of. Up till today, it was black whit a shimmering of silver...it is now black with a pink hue. There is no silver nor a shimmer to it. Oh well..serves her right!! We live and learn I suppose.

As I write this in between trying to feed Sara (Coco Pops) and Amir (Chocolate Weetos), kids are sweet, lovely but above all..they don't half do your head in! I say this as right now, Amir wants to watch You Tube, Sara wants to watch "Dar" (In the Night Garden) but I can't change the channel as she has hid the batteries somewhere! They both don't want to eat their breakfast and would rather play with the ball and shout at the top of their voices., and jump up and down off the sofa! Maybe the missus will wake up soon and maybe, just maybe..peace and order will reign in the house once more!

Blog Introduction

This is harder than I thought! I have spent the past 10 minutes thinking about how to introduce this blog in a funny and appealing way...and for the life of me, I just can't do it! On dating ads, people tend to be put "must have GSOH"..a good sense of humour, I'm pretty sure I don't have that! Oh well..

I don't have a clue about what direction this blog is going to go in. I had an idea, an urge if you like to start writing. I've never really had a hobby as such, and I don't think I will anytime soon. I'm a husband to a lovely wife (Asma), and the dad of a 6yr old boy (Amir) and 19 month daughter (Sara). I'm Abu, by the way.

In the midst of working full time, and family life which always seems to involve chaos, tantrums, spills, accidents, arguments and countless other things, I think its fair to say busy is an understatement! We are a close knit family though, and I wouldn't change it for the world. "Cant live with em, Can't live without em" is very apt I feel!

I aim to write as much as possible. It will involve our family life, experiences, my pearls of wisdom, random musings and product reviews. Whether or not, I get any readers is another matter entirely!

Watch this space, and come say hello. I am a friendly dad, it's the missus which is the scary one! We don't bite and we would love to make some new friends along the way :)
